Question Sirius antenna location ...

If any of you with Sirius systems can confirm that putting the antenna on the front dash really works I would appreciate it ... that seems like the most unobtrusive location, and it should get the signal through the glass, but some first-hand experience would be helpful (my plan is to replace the Bose unit in my 2003 with a Kenwood HU).

Thanks!

I put many of the Sirius antennas on the dash and haven't had any complaints yet. Works just fine for me

Don't know if XM and Sirius antennas work the same but check out where zmansoon put his XM antenna:

I had one of the original antennas that was bigger and had it on the rear strut tower brace. I hated it there. Saw that they came out with a smaller antenna and put it in the rear brake light. Can't even see it and no problems with reception!

Thanks ... the brake light is an interesting idea if it will fit. I appreciate the input.

Put the antenna on the rear strut bar under the left side top panel. I don't know why people are so worried about putting it there. The reception there is probably the best place in the entire car, and it's completely hidden. It sounds better there then in my other car, where it's on the roof.
