Default Installing Basslink Question

For those of you who have installed the Infinity Basslink in the stock sub location, how do you remove the large metal plate where the factory sub goes? Do I have to take the plastic sides off (behind the seat belt attachment points) ? I realize I need to take the plastic facing off (glove box area) but I don't want to take the whole car apart if I don't have to.

Default Re: Installing Basslink Question

there are 10 to 15 bolts that secure the metal plate onto the frame...and you can't get to them without taking off the plastic panel. of course you can't take the plastic panel off without taking off the side panels (quarterpanels, i think). it's actually not that bad..you can search for the how-to on this forum.

also, if you're installing the basslink and want to mount it to the roof of the sub compartment, you'll have to take off all the plastic panels anyway. good luck.
