Default I am a newb. can I use mono amp for two speakers?

hi guys, like the topic says, I am a complete moron on stereo things. so bear it with me. I recently bought a Rockford Fosgate 150a1 mono amp to power it to a 10inch sub, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon, however I just got a set of components from a member on this site.
I was just wondering if I can wire these upto the mono amp?
will it make a difference on sound? Its currently running on kenwood 50x4 headunit.
thanks guys
John

You would have to hook it up (series) with a resistance the amp can tolerate. You would loose the stereo effect though it would be louder.

i don't think this would sound good. also don't know whether this amp is stable to 2 ohm mono. i would rethink this. just use your stereo to power the components until you can upgrade to a good 2 or 4 channel amp. you'll hate the sound if you go mono IMO. alternatively, if you got another mono amp, same model as the one you have, you could use one to power each side of the components. dunno if that's any better, but hey i'm tryin here...

Don't do it it wont sound good at all and possible drive too much power for the components mono amps are made for a single sub or subs wired in series respectable to the ohm load of the amp. Its a waste of time. Sorry so harsh

most class D amps are not able to produce full range .. cept for the tripath ones .. some call them class T's, some will say there's no such thing, just whatever class + tripath chip.
