Default What do "passive radiators" do in a car audio system?

I've been considering picking up this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...754456500&rd=1 , however I have no idea what the passive radiators accomplish for car audio.

In ya'lls opinion, do you think its worth the extra dough over the standard basslink? Also, does anyone know/have pics of this basslink system installed in the Z's hatch?

Thanks for any and all feedback.

It is a driver that does not receive power from an amp.

As the driver is in a sealed box with a driver that is being powered, the passive or un powered driver is driven by the powered driver passively.

Its a way to get more volume out of a system without adding power. I really dont care for it myself, Ive heard some systems with passive drivers. Sounded kinda sloppy. But those were not designed by loud speaker engineers so....
