Default Compatible W/ Bose?

So I did a search on this and didn`t find quite what I was looking for..

Firstly, let me start by saying I don`t know too much about the bose system, other than I have it, and it sounds better than the stock Z system. Here`s what I wanna do.

My understanding is that there is a 10" sub woofer that comes with the Bose? No good, it`s a POS if there really is one. What I wanna do is either add another 10" sub and an amp, or take out the bose sub and replace it with two 10" subs and an amp. Is this possible, or will I have to rip out the Bose and put in new speakers and such?

Thanks

You can run a line out from the factory head unit if you really wanted to. It will probably sound like *** though.

Line out from head unit--->new amp----->new sub.

If you want to just replace the 10" stock with another sub, make sure you know the mounting depth of that sub or else you may wind up getting a sub that will not fit in the stock location.

I don`t even need to take the stock sub out. I can just add 2 new 10" subwoofers and an amplifier.. But the question is, would they be compatible with the Bose system I already have? And if yes, how would I go about doing it

Tap the rear(or subwoofer) speaker outs off the deck... use a line level converter to get a RCA signal for your amps.
