Question Portable navigation units?

I am considering purchasing a portable navigation unit. The following is what I consider to be my priority:

1. portability
2. price
3. user-friendliness

Does anyone have experience with Magellan RoadMate 700? I'd like to hear what you guys think about this unit. Appreciate your inputs.

I'm not sure how "bulky" that is going to be on the dash. Since it is portable, I'd like it to be somewhat small but not too small. Is 7 inch screen a good size to be carried around? Like for eg., would we be able to place that somewhat large unit on my Z's dahs? I'm sure it will b okay in my Altima though....
