Question Titanium Tints & Radar Detectors

I've ran into a couple of pieces of info that state if you plan to use a radar detector, you should avoid 'metallic tints'. I'm assuming that includes the so-called 'titanium tints' some have been using. Does anyone have any more info on this that they could share?

I was leaning towards the titanium ones because they supposedly avoid color fade longer than traditional tints, but if it's gonna screw up my ability to, ahem, receive radar signals, then I'll go the traditional route.

TIA

I don't agree with this. I have a black Touring with 20% Titanium mirror tint and a Beltronics 985 radar detector. I've already been saved from a few tickets. I guess if you had titanium on the windshield, blocking signals. But who would do such a thing?

I placed my V1 right on the titanium window tint. (Top portion of my windshield is tinted with titanium). But V1 still works fine.
