I want to get a backup camera installed onto my kenwood ddx7015...anyone have any idea? i dunno where to get a camera. If possible, it would be nice if it automatically switched to the camera when i put the car in reverse. any ideas would be appreciated.
I bought mine off of ebay.

Really good quality and easy installation.

I mounted it thru my license plate. You can see a pic here

so you cut a hole in the rear bumper? how is it attached inside? do you have a bracket mounted on something?
and i dunno bout cuttin a hole in the license..

Yes, there I had to cut a hole in the bumper behind the plate. The entire camera's outer shaft is threaded and has the appropriate spacers to get it angled just right.
I'd rather put a hole in the plate than a hole in the bumper that's visible.

I've bought eight or ten cameras from these guys. Find one that comes with a "U" bolt mount, that's color, and waterproof. Depending on the resolution it should run you $40-$200 with the sweet spot being about $40 rather than $200. Understand that you're using this in a car to glance at from time-to-time so you don't need 700 lines of resolution and 0.001 Lux sensitivitiy.
Fine one with 300-400 lines of resolution and 2-3 Lux.

HAHAHA... yea I didnt say the eclipse was cheap, but it is a good camera and comes with the brackets to conseal it. As to if it goes with your HU I really have no idea but I don't see why it wouldn't, for the most part they're just A/V connectors. Good luck.
If I remember correctly it has a small bracket you just screw in where ever you want to place the camera... as for the wires I really don't know but I'm guessing you may have to drill a small hole somewhere to feed them through...
WhiteW,
This is the module I used with my OEM screen. It expensive but it works great.

It provides 2 video inputs. One is autosensing which I have my reverse camera connected to. When I put my car in reverse the camera gets powered and the video automatically switches. The other inout can be used for any other video source (ie forward looking camera, DVD, PS, Xbox etc....)

I went thru SuperCircuits.com and found only normal view cameras. I had a spare normal camera and velcro'ed it to the back to test and it didn't work - the mind doesn't do the looking foward and seeing backwards thing.
I got the link work. It lead me to here: http://www.mobilevideo4less.com/cameras.html.
I think there may be incompatibility problems between some cameras and the NAV monitor.
I'm still looking in to it. Hope to get more responses.
Thanks
