There's no way to wire the external wires to fool the brain on the AVIC N2. That did work with the AVIC N1 but the new software uses the inertial navigation sensors (velocity sensors) to detect movement and shut the screen off. I have been told that you can boot your N2 with N1 software and be able to watch movies while driving. I also know a way to bypass the grip safety on my 1911A1 .45 pistol too.

I have verified the N2's velocity sensor operation myself by putting the e-brake up one notch and starting a movie. Once I get out of the driveway - about 20 feet - the movie kicks off. It does stay on in my cubby hole screen for my passenger's enjoyment.

Go to the verify maintenance screen and check that the wires are getting their proper signals. Even if it's some sort of safety you still can swap music disks with your navigation disk while driving.
