I have amps underneath my seats, and after about an hour of hard play they are on FIRE, to the point that they cut off most times. I recently installed some "barrel fans" by stinger ( you can find em on ebay ) and thus far havent had a problem.

A fan should make a big difference as there's not much air flow under the seat and the seat itself sits pretty low over the amplifier.
Look at the tiny fans used as case fans in personal computers. You can buy ones that are very small and quite enough. Some have thermo sensors that extend out on wires to sense with the amp is getting hot and then they turn on the fan.
