just the 6.1s for now in the front doors..Replace the tweeters, but still in the stock location. Im going to bridge my Alpine Mrv-f540 into 140Wx2 @4ohms to feed these speakers. That won't fry them btw, will it? Not sure about wiring with front components though n what I need/don't need in terms of wiring, harnesses, etc...thanks

you dont really need a harness but you will need to run new speaker wire to the doors from the amp. Heres a DIY for that:

as far as connecting the speakers you can either solder the wire to the terminals or use some sort of crimp connector on the end of the speaker wire to connect the speakers. I used something like this just make sure you get the right size for the terminals on the speaker:

cant comment on the power.

My amp puts out 111 watts and I haven't managed to blow my Kappas up yet. If you watch your levels there's not a problem. I practice safe sound so I doubt I reach my system's +900 watts very often - a second or two at a time.
Setting the gain down 1 dB lower your amplifier will be putting out 100 watts and not 140 and your speakers ought to be fine.
I have seen more 100 w/channel speakers blown up with 40 w/channel amplifiers than the other way around. Clipping is the killer of speakers ... that and running bass into mid-base speakers. Use your subwoofers for the bottom end and filter out those last two or three octaves of music - that have so much energy - out of your components and they'll not only sound better but last longer.
