Anyone needed to bring it to service before? How?

Mine stopped working and it shows "service required" on the display.

 

Thats weird, I had my 8500 x50 since Chrismas and have never had it do that before. I know that the x50 can be updated with new software but I have no idea why it says service needed. I would give Escort a call and get their imput on it.

 

Have had problems with my unit in the past and was forced to send it to Escort. You will have to call and they will send you RA label.

 

Oh man...that sucks.

How long did it took them? Was it covered under warranty? I only had it for an year..maybe less.

 

Probably took the better part of a week to get the shipping label and then a week to repair and return. I might suggest you request an RA number and eat the cost of returning the unit to Escort by either UPS or FedEx. They probably have a preference of which shipper to use.

 

Yeah okay. I dont mind paying shipping.
