Having Trouble Reattaching Center Dash Console
Hi guys, I just installed my Pioneer HU.
One major problem....
The Center Dash (with the three gauges) will not attach back firmly.
It looks ok, but if I pull on the Nav Door too hard, the top part comes out.
The only thing that holds it in is a plastic clip on the top and 2 metal clips midway down the dash console...
Help, I don't want a ghetto dash! Yes I put all the screws in....

That's crazy that you mention this b/c mine's doing the same thing after I installed my JVC this past weekend. I basically just didn't tighten the screws all the way down that go behind the A/C controls....seems to pull the dash forward some in they're all the way in and the top pops out. But WTF, why can't it just go back the way it was....not sure what to do to get it back to normal.

didnt' have a problem putting mine back in , you have to neatly tuck all the wires away when you put the HU back in. It took pretty long to get em all back in there before the headunit popped back in place... Mine is in there firmly
Did you end up with two extra screws?
You should recheck the screws behind the lower trim piece on the cubby. If those two screws are missing nothing is really holding the top in place.

+1 on the wire tuck. There is like zero room behind the cubby hole and the flat plastic spot on the dash behind it. I tried routing the GPS antenna up there and found issues. Moving the wire off to the side worked. All the wires for the headend were stuffed down into the area behind the white AC Amplifier box.

1. clip any extra wires down to a couple of inches long. put a butt connector on it and tuck it away. The extra foot or so of wire cut off will make more room for some of the bulkier cables.
2. Use the cubby hole behind the panel that covers the shift ****. There's a whole lot of room down there.
3. Use the little cubby hole behind the side panel directly to the left of the HU. I used that area to tuck away the excess serial port cables that weren't being used.
