Default Any comments on the Rocky Mountain Radar/Laser Detector & Scambler

http://www.radar-laser-jammers.com/

Above is a website with details...it offers the standard stuff + POP Protection, and Radar and Laser Scambling to boot.

I know most people are fans of the Escort Passport 8500 and the 8500 X50, which is a great one, but I want to explore all options before I buy one...and would prefer NOT to pay out major bucks for something like a Valentine One, if I didn't have to!

Default Rmr = Piece Of Sh**

They don't jam radar or laser so save your money for the Valentine One because it is the best.

The only thing that works is the Blinder M20 or M40 laser jammer, everything else is a POS.

I just did a hardwire install of the V1 about a month ago and this RD is second to none. Once you have the arrows you never go back to junk detectors.

Just bought the Escort Passport 8500 X50 with the Blue display (seems like it's getting rave reviews from all the auto mags and a lot of other places).

That new POP protection seems to be a good feature....Now I have one more thing to say:

***** DA POLICE

I hear the rocky mountain is pretty good... BUT I don't want you to buy one b/c the BS radar jammer doesn't work and sets off escorts x50's pop mode which is really annoying.

I've done this same thing on other forums, but I'll just do the short version here:

There are no such thing as consumer grade radar and/or laser jammers. EVERY SINGLE "JAMMING" DEVICE AVAILABLE IS A SCAM. If it wasn't a scam, then it would be ILLEGAL FOR ROAD USE and they couldn't sell it to you anyway.

As mentioned above, go with a V1. You won't be sorry.

RMR is the biggest joke ever. Ive heard some testing sites that evaluated RMR had better success blocking laster by putting the cardbox it came in on the windshield than they had by using the actual "laser jammer". Their radar detectors work, but only at a level you would expect from a $80 no name box, instead they charge like $200 something. www.radartest.com should give you good reviews. If you dont wanna spend too much money you should look into picking up a BEL.

While radar jammers are very much a scam, laser jammers are the real deal. But not the RMR ones, you need the Blinder or the Escort system ( forget what its called )

You are completeley wrong. Laser jammers work such as the Blinder M20 or Blinder M40, Escort ZR3, or Lidatek.

Here is a radar jammer that works but it will cost you $1400-$1500.
