does anyone here have dimensions of a subwoofer box that will slip in the stock location. I would like to install a 10" Infinity where the stock bose turd is located. There appears to be plenty of room in the hole, but without tearing my car apart to find out, I would like to ask for a little help. I would like to get the specs and build the box prior to tearing the car apart. I know that many of you here have already been in there, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I can provide dimensions and details by next week. Stay tuned. I may be putting a removable, MDF box in that space using the stock steel plate and some brackets in the back. I could provide a design now, but couldn't guarantee fit until I hear back on a couple of items. I'll also be able to give you information on fastening the box to the stock plate, and how to mount the brackets if I can verify my dimensions.

Other options may be available, depending on preferences. user "johnlotusboy" used 14ga. steel and Dynamat to make a box for the same location. You may want to ask him about it in a PM, if he's willing to share.

Your on! That sounds like a good plan, and may be more stable than any other idea. As long as I can get the box int the cubby hole, and fasten it to the car. I like the way you think.
