Default Where to buy 6.5" speaker spacers?

I found lots of places to buy some from universal 1" spacers from Scosche online, but would like to know if any stores carry them or another brand that might be better. Best Buy, Circuit City, etc? Any help would be great. Thanks.

For the fronts?

I bought mine from Circuit City. Then took them back, they did not fit (too small for Nissan hole and screw pattern.

I actually cut the factory speaker out of its built in spacer and mounted my new ones in that. There was enough of a lip to get all four screws in from the new speaker. Looked real good and I was able to used the factory wiring harness (which is not a standard one like the back was). Man I wish I had pictures.

Anyway be careful, this worked for my new speakers but may not for yours. There are several others who used spacers and they looked right. Mine were not!

I'm using MB Quart 6.5's which must be a bit bigger than yours, because the stock mounting frame is too small in diameter to get screws into. I came up with a system to mount them, but it's kind of a rig, and I'd like to do something cleaner. Thanks for the response!

I used the suggestion from another thread on this board and made spacers from a rubber PVC pipe adapter. The adapters were $6 a piece and the assorted screws added another couple bucks, so total price was around $15. I imagine the 1" spacer rings are probably cheaper, but I couldn't find any around town.

Search for the thread about door panel removal that has lots of pictures.

i suggest making your own spacer using MDF (medium desity fiberboard) . also, make sure you use some dynamat or similar products to dampen your doors especially around the speakers.

I bought 1" spacers from Sound Domain , they are only $3.95. The pic shown on the website isn't right, look at this link: Spacers

Now I haven't tried them yet, but I'll let ya know when I get to do the install.
