dont even think about it.
Non Bose car means you dont have the wiring harness either.
Not just plug and play.
You have to replace all the speaker swith the Bose speakers and enclosures.
then get the Bose Amp, the Bose Sub, and then install the bose wiring harness thru the whole car. Not worth it at all.
Early in 2003 I thought I hit the motherload on ebay. Got the entire BOSE set up, everything for $150.00 Shipped. and when I called Nissan with probelms at the installer, they told me, that they saved money by not using the bose harness as standard. All non bose have a base harness and the bose has a special one. $1700.00 for the harness and 29 hours to install in the car, or get a Touring and it was standard equipement.
Considering the problems people had early on with the Bose, I dont think you would be happy with that kind of outlay and still have poor system.
I was lucky to my money back, from a Bose Repair facility.
Do what you want but there are several threads on this. do a search and you will see.
Good Luck

When i did my first system install into my Z, it didn't sound very well. I notice that the rear spkrs come with block or limiters because they where very soft almost non exsisting. The front speakers sounded fine though. I used a Scosche NNO3B wire harness and it worked just fine( excluding the rear spkrs). Eventully, i re-installed the whole system intergrating a four ch. and sub amp. I bypassed the stock system and have total controll over the rear spkrs as well as the front. The rear spkrs are mostly for support, but it's good to be able to tune them accourdingly if needed. Overall, not a diffecult install and a standard aftermarket Nissan harness will allow you to intergrate a aftermarket receiver into the factory system and still be functional.
