Back-Up Camera Help Needed......
I recently had the Pioneer AVIC-D1 installed in my Z. All is well with everything but the back-up Camera. I installed it myself, I'm not an expert but when I installed it it worked fine until now. Here's the problem......
I have the power connected to the Radio Power.
I have ground connected to body ground.
I cut an RCA to use both wires to plug the other end to the Back-up input in the radio.
The camera worked great the first time I turned on the Radio, Now when I turned it back on the camera didn't work. I thought I unplugged the RCA by accident and when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, It worked fine. Now in order to get it to work I have to unplug and plug in again to turn on the camera.
I think it's a polarity issue with my wiring. Any car stereo experts have any solutions? Thanks.

Bummer. That's wired correctly. Sounds like a loose connection in the RCA signal cable. If you've got a home AC powered monitor laying around the house try it out in place of your N2.

Paul- I wired the camera to constant power. It was the Voltage fluctuations that caused the camera to spaz out. Seems to be working fine now. Thanks for your help.

Alot of high end cars come with the option of a Rear camera such as the infiniti FX45. I park the Z in a small garage so the camera has been very useful. If you had a back-up camera in your Z you wouldn't be posting dumb comments.

Here's my .02. I have a back up camera in my Z that has a wide angle lenses and inferred night vision. The Z's viewing area out of the back, and over your shoulder is limited. The camera is a big help with blind spots and I can toggle it on or off while driving and switch between the camera or DVD player. This is just a matter of personal choice.

P.S. I do have a Sonata, my company car. The Z is my Weekend Hobby next to my Formula Ford I use in SCCA Club Racing. Have fun daily Driver!
First off, I ain't your buddy. Second, it is frightening to think that you got all bent out of shape, by a little friendly dig. You must be extremely insecure to get so upset by someone that says, "Do you drive a Z or a Winnebego.
Thirdly, the one thing we have in common is we both drive a Z as a weekend hobby car. Get over yourself! Fourthly, amazing how I could tell you were a Sonata driver. Finally, I wouldn't waste my cash on the unit you bought for your Sonata, er, Z.
Dude, you obviously were picked on all your life and you haven't gotten over it. I'm glad you have the internet.

Your making Z drivers look bad. Oh I forgot it's "California" not "Kalifornia".
