Default weird problem

So i just got my car back from the body shop, someone rear ended me and ****ed the bumper and rear quarter panel on the passenger side up......well the body shop had to paint the right side of the car and when i got in it today the right speaker sounded real funny. I noticed the low impedence light on my JL amp was blinkin too.....i also noticed that there was a TON of engine/alternator noise coming out of that passenger side speaker. The body shop apparently took the door off to paint it and my theory is that when they put it back on they messed up or accidently put a cut into the wire going into the door from inside the car and caused a short. Im hoping its just a short in the wire and not the speaker....the engine noise coming out of the speaker was so loud and annoying (even with no headunit on at all) that i disconnected that speaker from the amp for now and am only running the drivers side speaker now. I have focal K2P's by the way so im hoping they didnt ruin the speaker, or worse shorted out the right side of the amp .....any opinions on what you experts think it could be?

It couldn't be a short between the two wires as then you'd here nothing at all from the speaker. It's possible that they grounded one of the two speakers wires though.

Yeah - like it gets pinched somewhere and is touching to the chassis ground. Most modern amplifiers require that the speaker wires "float" and not touch chassis ground anywhere.

so its prolly something that once i see it it can be fixed and isnt something like a speaker that needs to be replaced

Swap the speaker wires at the amp, if the other speaker starts to make the same noise then you know it is your output on your amp, otherwise it is something after the amp. More than likely the wire is pinched somewhere. The best I can say is trace the wire and see what you come up with.
