Here is a Top Secret Interface being worked on, code name Fairlady. Features Voice commands, voice response (lips moves, head turns), MP3, Music Vids, Movies, DVD, Nav, and cameras (also cell phone plug ins)

This will be running off a pc and using a 7" touchscreen.
notice the buttons minic the Z logo and the Nissan as well. Plus the Amber color to match the radio.

Are you a programmer Alphared?

That's one good thing about having a computer based system....you can make the interface look like whatever the heck you want it to look like....and then change it the next week if you think of something else.

 

Voice commands might be a little hard to pull off especially in a sports car (even if you keep it real simple). Everything else seems very 'do-able'.

 

Well I'm Electrical Engineer, but been programing for years. Yeah, have to agree on the voice command part. Its not that its hard for the pc to know what you're say it's HEARING what you are saying. I'm still researching on a good noise filtering mic. I know the headsets one are the best for this, but don't want to wear one while driving.
