How did you do it? Did you find a wire harness that worked? Is it the same as the others? I can't seem to find one and am guessing I'm SOL and have to run my own wiring for it.

Have you tried: www.crutchfield.com Have seen posts where the double din dash kit doesn't fit properly in the 06, but have not seen any posts in regards to their harness not working.

I don't remember which harness I used ( probably metra ) didn't have any problem mating it with the base 2006. You are probably already aware that the current mounting kits will not provide a great cosmetic fit for the 2006. Here is my install https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video/163288-stereo-install-completed-thanks-to-you-guys.html

Yea, I'll probably use the 03-05 dash kit for now as I just need to get this damn stereo in already. Stock is driving me crazy! Which brand is the dash kit you purchased? I went to buy a Metra at Circuit City and the guy said all I need was a pocket which I know is wrong because my old '04 Z had a full kit, not just a damn pocket.

You can visit the Crutchfield site and find both the Metra Dash Kit
(120997402) and Harness. You could also visit this site: www.peripheralelectronics.com and get the harness (SVHNI24) and look at their 4ch Adjustable Line Output Converter (SVEN4).
