Default Sub Locations

A few quick questions..

The factory sub, where is it located (I don't have one hehe)?

Also, is the space behind the drivers seat (maybe that's the sub space?) the same as the storage space behind the passenger's seat?

Just getting some ideas here..

Yup, you got it.

The space behind the driver's seat is the location for the sub. It also has the same dimensions as the storage compartment (after the inside liner is removed).

I had my installer fit an IDQ 10" in the stock location with a custom built box with MDF and fiberglass. It fit really well and looks totally stealth when the custom cover is in place. I'll some more pics of the sub when I pick it up in a hour or so. here's the link: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=16783

I already have a 10" sub to go into the factory location. The installers at Fry's Electronics want to charge me $510 just for the sub install and moving the amp, which is now in the su space, to underneath the seat. Is this out of line with what you paid??
Thx

That's what I paid for the sub enclosure and installtion of all the equipment. Sounds a bit steep to me...

I would take it to a custom stereo shop. Fry's isn't known for being a "quality high-end shop" to do custom installs. $510.00 is a little steep. Shop around a bit and go with the place you feel more comfortable with.
