Default Does this look like crap or what?

Does this look like crap or what? I took my new 2006 Z to a stereo shop and asked them to install a new deck. They said "no prob, we do these all the time." I came back to get my car when it was done and this is what I see. Apparently, this deck install kits is for 2005 Z's and older. The 06 has different curves. There is a gap on the bottom right above the controls and the curves of the corners dont match the curves of the stock plastic. Does anyone know who might make the correct kit for the 06 or am I just going to have to wait on a part like this to come available?

Looks terrible.....they used an 05 housing for an 06. Take it back and make them fix it or get something in writing that they will correct it when the new updated housings come out in a few months.

looks unprofessional.. I'd take it to someone who does custom work and not kits; or wait until a kit for an 06 is out.

I just looked on there 2 mins ago and they have nothing for the 06 yet. Mine does not have the Nav or the Bose system. Where are you looking? I went through the whole pull down menu, loaded the info for my car, but nothing came up. Can you paste a link?

I wish I had that craftsmanship skill. I am not good at the stuff at all. I think I will just wait for the correct one to come out. Its only a matter of time and they are only about 25 bux at most.

They should be ashamed to do that and call it a job. This is why I do things myself. I can "acheive" that kind of work without paying for it.

I think most places aren't aware yet that the 06 Z changed the dash. Still there is no excuse for them leaving it like that when they obviously saw it wasn't right. Must not be a very reputible install place.. I did mine myself, so that's why i thought it was me at 1st..

Yeah, I took mine to Tweeter to get installed, and the guy installed it, and took it out. Told me about the gap at the bottom. I am surprised the shop you went to left it like that.
