Default Easiest way to UNHOOK rear speaker?

I installed a new deck and blew my rears (expected). I'm gonna replace em soon, but for the time being, i wanna unhook one of them as it starts HISSING like a **** whenever i hit a bump. Should i try to take it out? I looked at the "screws" and couldnt' figure out how to open the enclosure. So should i unhook it from the amp instead? I couldn't find the amp either Help!

removing the rear speakers requires removing the rear panel which is a bit of work...

remove it from the amp connection... or if you don't have one.. remove it from the HU harness

Given a choice between going into the back or the front I would take the front every time! Getting into the console is a bunch easier than getting to the rear speakers.

Don't you have a fader control where you can just remove the input signal from the speakers all together?
