Default Install: simple, stealth, nothing fancy

Hi everyone, long time browser, but this is the first post with my 04 sb performance. I wanted to post some pics of my simple install, which includes:

Kenwood DDX whatever,
Single JL amp 300x4 driving:
JL evolution 6.5" components
Bridged 10w3v2
It's a self install, except the kendwood HU and nav. I've since taken the system apart a couple times, and realized i should have just done the HU myself

CAUTION: huge pictures, dirty *** car (inside and out) it started raining about 30 mins after i took these pics and hasn't stopped, so i'm glad i didn't wash it yet!

I've had 2 stereos stolen in the past, so my main goal here was "stealth stealth stealth"

The most 'out there' part, the kenwood head unit:

Behind the driver's side:

here you can see the custom aluminum amp rack, assembled entirely with hardware (don't have a welder). The amp rack really "hugs" the amp, and is super solid. I need to clean up the wiring, i was worried about the 4 guage buzzing so close to the speaker wires, so i routed them on top. I found it really doesn't matter, and will put them in their rightful place when I get some time.
Now the trunk looks like this with the carpet:

carpet pulled up:

The box is simple 3/4 mdf. I made a mount for the spare tire holder that's sealed with a rubber bung like they use for test tubes. You have to take the sub out to take the box out, and there's a bolt that screws through the box to the tire mount, as it tightens, it expands the bung and fully seals the box. Its about .85 cubic feet.
I got some corrugated plastic from a local art store to make the sub floor, its the same material Nissan uses, but they didn't have large enough sheets in stock, so i had to ...gasp... tape it together. Again, this is always hidden under the carpet, so its just there to add some structure.
The single 10" sure looks small in pictures, but pounds hard enough.

And last, the main reason I got off my *** and took some pics, i got my windows tinted at "tint king" in billerica MA. They did a great job, I left the % decisions in their hands, and I think they did a great job. 35% on the sides and around 30-25% on the back. If i wasn't worried about the law, i would have gone darker, but I can't believe how dark it is and still legal!
side view with a big streak of bird sheit:

rear 3/4:

I'll take some better pics when i clean up the wiring, and wash the interior and exterior, but these will suffice for now i think.
Hope you like it!

As tempted as I was to go with clear plexi glass and some neon to highlight my investment, I too will be going with stealth install thanks to Nazar's new enclosure and some well chosen parts. My only problem is the double din unit that will be near impossible to hide. I wish the single din eclipse models were not soo darn expensive.

Overall, nice job.
