how does it sound in the car? It does not look like there is any space to the speaker to vent to inside the car.

 

There's a couple of inches under the box, and about 6 - 7" to the right of the box, as well as the space behind the center console. The bass is pretty clean, I have no complaints on sound.


And yes, I know the wood sucks. I was prototyping, and kinda wound up finishing it off... If I get motivated in the next couple of months I'll rebuild it in MDF.

I meant space for it to vent to the passenger compartment. I guess as long as it sounds good...

 

It vents to the passenger area through the stock Bose openings...
