I've been trying to put sound deadening in my trunk and i messed up i guess, 'cause the rattling is worse than ever...i took out the panels that i could and i have edead v3 painted in and starting adding v1 pads yesterday and played my system and it was just terrible, so i stopped...some of the plastic rivets have broken on the panels, but they aren't even back in and the trunk rattles like crazy...anyone have any ideas?...i guess i'll just have to have a pro fix my mistakes

 

sounds like the rattles are coming from the panels. They arent seated right and scine you have broke rivets thats most like were your rattles are coming from. Get some new rivets from the dealer, and pop them in.

 

yeah, i'm sure that has something to do with it, but the rattling sounds like its more spread out than that...i don't know, i guess i'll get the rivets and put the trunk back together and see...thanks man

 

Sounds like the panels are vibrating against each other where the touch. Old school fix is to use felt where they touch. Good luck!
