Default avic Z1 install in 06z, service light on. HELP.

Ok guys I just install my avic Z1, and it kick on my service soon light. Anyone know what the deal, and what I can do about it.

Also some time I cant get the light bypass method to work. Dont know if my timing is off or what. Should I turn it fast or slow at the boot up screen which show the pioneer sign.

Also I get the message for improper ground and that I should check it, but the bypass work. Is that post to happen.

My Pioneer AVIC N2 complains after every time I disconnect the battery to do any work. While letting the car idol I'll cycle the hand brake a couple of times and it goes away.

Question

Iv heard that the 06 radios are tied in to some of the diagnostic functions, like the mute and power button does things with the ECU. Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case, this may be the caue of your CEL. anyone else get the light after an 06 radio swap?

Give it a day or so. If you powered up the radio before you plugged in the AC/Heater controls it will do this. It will go away after a couple of days.

you know what, that is exactly what I did. I didnt connect the ac/heater control plate. Cause I was just trying to hurry and test something. Man I hope it will go away like you say. But it has been a couple of days already.

By the way, does anyone know when the services soon light should come on, like how many miles and stuff.
