Nazar's 3x10 magicbox - problems?
Has anyone who has ordered Nazars 3x10 magicbox had any problems with it? I purchased one about a month ago.. of course after UPS beat a corner off of it, and I got it fixed and painted to match the car.. My local stereo shop is having issues mounting my JL 10w6's. They had to shave quite a bit of fiberglass from the openings just to get the woofers to go into the box. The holes were WAY too small. Now, the woofers will not seat in the holes solid due to the entire enclosure opening being too small. I dont think the speakers are going to seal well due to the unevenness of the lip as well.
Wish i would have known all this before i sunk 400 into the box, and 250 into paining..

Sorry to hear what happened. They may have shaved the surface where the speaker mounts to a bit too much, this is easy to do when you are sanding the lip...But not to worry. All fiberglass boxes need a little shaving for best fitment. If the box was not allready painted I would be happy to swap it for you. However in this case, What I would recommend is to either use a bead of silicone on the lip. Or gasketing foam tape 1/8" should do to get a perfect seal.
I just received my corner sub box from Nazar, and it looks and fits my elemental design ov211 sub perfectly. By the way, Nazar, the vinyl got here yesterday, thank you soo much for shipping that out so quickly. I will have the box and door pods installed this weekend and post pictures soon. Anyone who needs someone reputable, knowledgable and customer friendly to work and buy from, Nazar is the guy.
