Kenwood DDX-6019 Signal Quality
I just recently installed my DDX-6019 into my '03 Touring, and I am slightly disappointed that the signal quality is very poor. In Orlando, I can only catch about 5 stations on the SEEK and when tuning into the station, 3 of my favorite stations are about 60% of what it should be.
I know the antenna is hooked up because I used the antenna wire as the radio ground so if it becomes disconnected, it will turn off.
Does anybody else experience this problem?

Yea - that was the problem. Interesting that I searched DDX-6019 and read a bunch of threads, but I must have missed it. THANKS GUYS! Works awesome now. Its picking up stations I never new existed.
Glad that fixed it for you.
Since you searched DDX-6019 you were limited to that particular model.
Kewood has had at least two other models that people on this board are using. DDX-7015 DDX-8017 and possibly more. they are all pretty much the same just newer models and eXcelon vs. Kenwood.
