Default Basslink Tuning

So I just broke my back getting my Basslink II mounted in the stock location. I have it strapped face up so that the adjustment ***** are on top and closest to the opening. But once I put the metal housing for the old bose woofer in place, I'm not able to adjust the *****. I'm looking for some basic opinions on the settings I should use since I don't want to have to take everything apart to set it again once I have the deck in place. I have crossover, gain, and bass boost control as well as a "phase" switch (180 or 0 degrees). Any help is much appreciated. FYI, I have kappas in the front if that's helpful in determining the crossover.

Also, is it okay to have the basslink strapped to the floor? Or is some clearance underneath necessary?

Thanks.
