Avn 5435 vs Avn 5500

What are the differences?? I cant seem to find any. I know that the 5500 replaces the 5435, but why? In what way does it "replace" it?

5500 can support the eclipse ipod box. I have a 5435. Got it from Cartoys after the price dropped, when the 5500 was released earlier this year.
