Default what are some good speakers(seperates) that fit in the oem slots

Hi, my friend gets ALPINE, ROCKFORD FOSGATE, BOSTON, MONSTER CABLE for cost and I am wondering which would be a good set for my Z. I have the enthusiast, so there was never any BOSE. The only thing I have done so far is too replace the factory HU, with the Alpine IVA-W200 in dash DVD player. I am wondering if I will still need an amp to run the new mids & highs or if the Alpine has enough juice. thanks for any help-----------------Steve

i have boston pro60 components and boston type-m imaging system and it sounds phenomenal. I also hear that the new alpines are nice. wouldnt touch rockford. and yes you should amp the new highs/mids, the pro60's are about 125 watts rms each. your HU puts out no more that 25 watts per channel.

for stock locations, DLS up6 is a great set at around 375 shipped.

the hybrid neo-ferrite magnet makes for a super low profile when putting into the door, infact, i have been able to fit the up6's midbass in the Z's doors without a spacer

if you really nwat rear speakes, any set of decent 6.5" coax will do, nothing fancy, DLS 226 slim coax at around 100 bucks works fine, along with many other ones...but i still recommend spending hte money on front spearke and forget about rears

if interested let me know...

though i have to say, i have never been impressed with the way stock Z locations sounded, regardless of cost of speakres.
