I can make the box with the subs facing forward......They are actually easier to see that way though. You can see them thru the front window and rear window easier. With them pointed toward the back there's just a small sliver of glass that they are visible through.
As far as sound goes I don't recommend firing the subs forward........they just sound so much better firing backward.

thanks mike

Installed the system ran some tests to see if the box holds, did a 20min 700watt rms at 4ohm and the plastic piece didnt melt, it became black a little bit, but still works. after that i let it cool back to outside temp then ran 1400watt rms at 4ohm for 20 min and everything ran fine, but I really hade a hard time keeping the box ware it was , instantly the box starts sliding out by itself after 900 watts, this problem is only solvable if i bolt the box down. I dont want to screw the rack to the box b/c then i cant get to spare tire and the amp rack will shake too much, and will be too dengerouse i believe.

all in all the box held up real well, its well made. just wish you sold some kinda kit to make it stop sliding out like a clamp of some sort to the inside hooks to hold it down towards the front or a symple carpeted piece of wood that you can wedge between the rear of the car and the box, making it imposible to come out.

FYI do not run more than 600watts rms witout the box properly secure. I hade mines in my livingroom and it literaly jumped around like a dog on a leashe.

Not the safest alternative but it kept my box from sliding around in my Excursion. It won't stop it from flying in an accident but it shouldn't move around much if at all during normal driving!

Mike,

I got the pathfinder box installed today. Looks, Fits and Sounds GREAT!

I am going to wait a little while to install the 350Z corner box, hoping that the other corner box will not be far behind so I can install them both at the same time.

Here are some pics.

Looks Great.....bet those two 12's rock the Pathfinder. UPS hates me when I ship those because the package is so frigin huge.

Do you mind if I use the lower picture in my eBay ad?

BTW....have you test fit the 10w6v2 in the corner box yet? If I have time this week I'll work on the passenger side....I'm thinking the templates will be the same just reversed.

Thanks mike

In most 350z's the under strut boxes basically wedge in to hold it in place.
All the boxes are exactly the same yet once in a while I run into a 350z where the box wants to slide backward a little. We suggest attaching velcro strips to the bottom to keep it from sliding backward........or screws can be put in the top of the box into the underside of the strut bar to lock it in.

thanks mike

Well today was the day I was going to do my install...Well one set back after another pretty much sums up the day. Anyway let me get to the point. I have the speaker spacer from zenclosures and I have Boston Rc 620's..When I roll down the window they still hit the freaking window. I need about another 1/4 in. Am I doing something wrong?

Anyone running JL ZR or XR's? The mounting depth for my speakers is 2 5/8 or 65mm both ZR and XR's are more.

I'm tired and pissed...Any ideas? I guess I'll cut an addition 1/4" speaker spacer tomorrow...Probably won't fit in the door after that with the way things are going.

One more thing....I installed my sub only to find out one of the VC was shot so I had to go swap it out at the store...Another hour lost!

I ran into the same problem with my Infinity Kappa's - the pastic 1" spacers weren't enough so I took a 3/4" and a 1/2" thick piece of plywood and made a mount. Together they don't make 1.25" as the dimentions aren't true.
