Can everyone please help. Lets list any and all aftermarket stereo/nav/A-V/Speakers/Amps that fit and replace the stock locations. Also, any links to info and best place to buy. If something fits perfectly, or if small modification required please explain. Like the place for the Bose sub on non bose cars, what is needed to add a sub there. What is needed to mount an amp in the stock location etc. etc. etc.
Some more examples and questions that I have.
Stereo's single or double din that match the amber interior.
Stereo's """ """" that are brushed alum looking.
Which speakers fit the stock locations, front and rear with no modifications. Also best place to buy them?
If you know of any existing threads, just link them to this thread.
Maybe we can eventually turn this into a FAQ or something to that affect.
Thanks All!!

Wassup man I also was pondering these questions. However I did find some answers. the speakers are 6.5 all around you have to dissasemble the doors and the backing to get to them however. This site will show you how. https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....0&pagenumber=1
I dont know how to hook up the sub in that area though possible some of the links on the thread that I gave you might tell you. There is a good Alpine headunit that has amber buttons well a option to make them amberany way. abber or green are your choices. The model is Alpine CDA7894. There is also a clarion Clarion DXZ835MP head that matches well with a amber display, however since the stok head is a clarion I wouldnt recomend it. Thats all I got for ya sorry. Hope it helps. By the way let me know how it goes.

Be very careful with speaker replacements in the doors. I was going to have a new set of 6 1/2" Infinity Reference speakers installed, but met with resistsnce when the installer realized that a spacer was needed. Without a custom made spacer, the windows will hit the speakers. When the installer refused to work on the door speakers because of this problem, I dropped the entire speaker replacement (for now).

Nakamichi CD45Z w/Amber display (matches perfect):

~ note the picture was taken half way through installation. I'll get some pics one day.
Any 6.5 Speaker will fit the area with a spacer or using the stock speaker (have to remove the cone/magnet/motor assmebly from the spacer/mount and then mount the speaker there).

Hi guys. If you notice that is a very old thread that just woke up. My post is from March last year.
The MB Quartz are great, but the BOSE amp does not put out enough power for them, so they are kind of low. I am just about to take them out and either go back to the OEM Bose or I would have to rip everything out and install a whole new system and speakers.
You can't just replace the door speakers with the BOSE. Takes more than that to get something going... unfortunately.

actually you can buy a special line level convertor made for the bose head units that will direct the signel to go to an aftermarket amp instead of the bose amp so you can give your speakers some more juice. this way you can use aftermarket speakers with additional power while maintaining the bose head unit.
there was recently a post from a guy that works at clarion explaining this but i cant seem to find it now. i believe he said the line level convertor is made by peripheral parts and runs somewhere around 100 bucks or so.
if this doesn't appeal to you i say just rip out the whole bose system!![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
