Question Audio P (audio Pilot) ???

Trying to figure out what this is on the Bose System. I have the 05 and this is a setting after you adjust the bass and treble. It says Audio P, found out it's the audio pilot from the manual but can't figure out what the hell it does!

Any ideas?

Turns the volume up and down based off of speed.

... from what I know, it has a microphone in the cabin and increased bass-midbass volume depending on ambient/road noise. It's a great theory, but I think the results sound like a$$. Sounds like it boosts the "bass" at 120-150 Hz. What a terrible sound! Lower male vocals are punishingly loud and still not really any more bass. I consider bass to be between 30 and 80 Hz. Sorry, I have spoiled myself with hi-end custom systems in my previous cars. Am not sure what to do in the Z... I'd hate to add any additional weight!

My previous experience with this feature has been lackluster. It reads road noise to maximize sound quality, which seems like a great feature on the surface. Problem is, if you are an audiophile, you want to control that yourself, and if you are not an audiophile, you probably won't notice the effects anyways. I found myself adjusting the bass to counteract it more often than not. If you are interested enough in sound quality as to research what this does, you are probably not going to like the results of turning it on.
