rears make it sound WORSE. I took the OEM ones out the day I got my car (and hid my Sirius tuner module in there lol)

+3 or 4 or something on not needing rears. Esp. in a car with 2 seats. My Clarion HU has some kind of "listening position" circuitry that allows you to move the soundtage forwards and backwards in the car. I just tried different settings until I found one that sounded right. It doesn't sound like the sound is coming from the kick panels where the speakers are. The sound is just there in the middle where it should be. Guys who think you need rear speakers probably have their speakers mounted in the doors where they don't produce a sound stage.

I was just at HIFI Buy's looking at the Alpine IVA-W200 and they recommended JL amp, quality fronts and coiax rears. I didn't ask them but to ya'll why not just use the factory rears?
