Default Stand-Alone DVD Player ?

I was interested in placing a farenheit cubby screen in my 06 cubby hole. I planned to run a video feed from a DVD player in those compartments behind the seats reserved for the NAV on other trims.

Id like to know if there is any DVD player that will allow me to play videos from my computer burned on a CD?

Pioneer makes a dvd player that looks like it could fit there but I am not sure if it will fit there. It is compatible with most of their decks so you can have the dvd player but not have to buy an expensive deck to do it. I have the DEH-6800MP and I know it is compatible with the dvd player. Go to Pioneer's website and you should be able to find it.

From what I have seen before, single din units should fit with the brackets for the OEM nav unit, but the space is fairly shallow so some units may stick out somewhat.

Here are some pics from a member's install posted way back in 2003, note this is a Pioneer dvd nav unit but hopefully will give you an idea of the fitment.

do you need a special cover or can you just take off the little door on those compartments?
