Default Tapping into the factory nav?

I am getting ready to install my new head unit (Pioneer AVX-7300DVD) and was curious as to where the wires are located for tapping into the factory mute/speaker circuits.

Look for some threads by myself (onecoolee). I detailed this info and documented color codes and step by step instructions on how to do this modification when I did it a couple months back...

Yea, i know, but i am actually looking for the physical location of the wires. As in, where in the dash are they located? Are they behind the current head unit? Or behind the Nav unit mounted behind the seats? Just trying to figure out how much wire i need before the install.

I am actually using your circuit whenever i put it in (hopefully this evening)

Here is the thread I was talking about...isn't the search funtion a wonderful thing ???

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=18919

All of these wires are located behind the factory head unit, and are located in the same wire connector harness. These wires conenct directly to the factory head unit to control muting, and audio output to the factory head unit. See the above thread for properly converting the 7.5v mute output to a ground signal which will be needed for muting your new head unit...
