I have a Z and I love it but it just so happens the rear camera install I'm doing is for my Dodge Ram. If anybody knows where I could hook up to a 12vdc supply under the dash that would be great. Or a 12vdc supply anywhere because I'm just not that great at wiring. Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas.

 

What about picking it up from the revers lights, then it will only come on when you put it in reveres.

If you want it on all the time you could get 12v off the rear cigarette lighter socket.

OK so the cigarette lighter has 12vdc? I guess I can try that. As far as the reverse lights go, those are are supposed to power the camera because the picture feed from the camera to the monitor is wireless but I'm not sure which wire is the reverse because the bundle goes into a box that feeds power to the bulbs.
