Question Crossover mounting

Where do you mount your crossover? By the amp and run to lines to the door? Or closer to the door?

If you run it close to the amp you have to run to sets or speakers wires to the doors right?

The closer to the speaker the better, less chance of inducing distortion.

mount it on the backside of the door panel or on the door itself.

Inside of the metal door skin near each front speaker using wicked tough 3M double sided tape.

I mounted mine between the door skin and the front surface of the door. I wouldnt do them inside the door or the outer skin cause they will just get wet and eventually stop working. If space is a real problem then mounting then inside the vehicle kick will suffice.

Velcro is king!!!!! And putting them in the kick panels is the way to go......way easier to get to if you want to tweak them!

I mounted mine in the factory sub location by the amp. I realize this isnt the best place sound wise but figured there would be less vibration and less chance of them getting wet (plus it looks nice). I ran 4 wire monster cable from the crossovers to the speakers and it still sounds pretty good. Sorry I don't have pictures to upload yet.
