Default What do I need to do?

hey guys,
I'm in desperate need of audio help. I'm going to install me 12" T1 sub, but I need to know if I have to get a different headunit? I have an 05 Enthusiast Model w/o BOSE and w/o Navi. I was searching just in case if I need a new one, and I really like this....

http://www.millionbuy.com/jenvm9021ts.html

What do I need to do to install this? Where do I go to get these things?

Sorry if this seems like a noob ?, bcuz it is one.

Thanks for all your help!!!

its so much easier if you get a new headunit. You need an amp kit which should consist of 1 4 gauge power wire 1 4 gauge ground and a remote turn on. Also assorted fuses and little stuff. You will also need some speaker wire about 20 or so feet should be way on the safe side. And a set of 1 channel rcas for 1 amp. Also you will need the headunit speaker and box. Plus the wiring harness and dash kit for the headunit. Good Luck.

what amp are you gonna use

i would like to sell you a new rockford fosgate ravdvd1 $350 shipped

i would recommend getting new front stage

and losing rear fill

using a rf punch 450.4

run left front of a channel
run right front off a chanel
brdige the 2 remaining channels into t1

i can sell you the amp as well

Okay, first thing first. Stop what you're doing. Do not order that headunit. From your post it sounds like you never done this before.

Go to your nearest car audio installer. Ask them for pictures of their work and ask what certifications their installers have. If you feel good about what you see and hear, ask them to put together a system (including install) for the amount of money you're willing to spend. Here's what you should ask for based on your OP:
- Headunit
- 1 or 2 amps
- Front speakers
- Sub Enclosure (I highly recommend the Zenclosure, search and ye shall find)
- 1 or 2 subs
- Installation
- Materials

Some people are going to tell you that you can do-it-yourself cheaper. And they're right...if the person in question knows what they're doing and they follow the excellent write-ups and DYIs posted on this site. However, from your questions, I'm assuming you don't (not trying to offend, just an observation).

The first install a person does usually goes like this:
1. Order components from cheapest website you can find (good luck on any warrantee).
2. Wait 3-4 weeks for everything to come in (if you're lucky).
3. Realize that some of the pieces of the system won't work well together (wrong fit, wanted 2 ohm dvc and got 4 ohm, etc.)
4. Return some of the stuff, re-order the right stuff.
5. Wait again.
6. Once everything's in, you start your install.
7. Accidently run a screwdriver right through the rubber surround of one of your subs trying to put it in the enclosure (or something equally frustrating). Get pissed.
8. Take everything to the car audio place you pass by everyday on your way to work.
9. Get charged more than the standard install rate because they have to undo your work to get everything connected properly.
10. Listen to your stereo.

So instead of that hassle, you can get the work done for you, at a reasonable price, with warrantees for both the install and the system and in significantly less time.
