Size of Rear speaker cut-outs
I am trying to track down the size of the opening for the rear speakers. I realize they take a 6.5" speaker but am trying to figure out if I could fit this sub from Elemental Design in each opening. I didn't think about measuring them when I had my car taken apart a month ago. I am obviously going for a super stealth look and thought this might be a good way to add some lows. Anyway, if anybody knows whether this will fit (it needs a 6" opening) I'd appreciate the help.

i think if the cut out needs to be 6" you will be okay
mounting depth you need to check
to double check what i am saying go to crutchfeild enter our cars specs and it will give you the factory speaker specs
if cut out and depth our good than you are gonna be fine
imo a 6" driver is not gonna make gobs of bassl

There is a lot of room back there and lots of airspace too. Go for it!
You should check out MPYRE 6.5" subs. They have an xmax of 14mm and they supossedly displace the air of a typical 10" sub.

My amp puts out a lot of power...the MPYRE doesn't look like it will handle it, is the elemental design speaker a good speaker. I'm not into audio a lot so i don't know that much about the diff companies.
PG Xenon 200W x 4 (4-1 ohm stereo) i think this is anywhere over11 or 12 volts but i could be wrong.

Just curious if you have tried it yet. I have an old EU-700 in my civic in a small box, specs per factory website, and it gives me enough bass. I would also like to put that sub back there. I would image you would have to dynomat or seal that area somehow, unless the rear speaker area is already sealed? Oh, by the way, it's a great speaker.
