Default what happens when you REALLY have a talent for installation :)

you can get kick panels that look like this! absolustely amazing, a lot of labor to clear out the wiring and utilize the space behind the kick, perhaps with some cutting, the end result is fabulous...

If someone had the budget, i wouldnt mind trying htis kind of approach lol, i would probably assume the kick is AP ported to the outside as well

Very nice. That's what I would want if I did kick panels.

Should go isobaric down there.

I never really liked cuting steel in the doors and kick panels ... stress and all that.

you mean the subbox or the kick panels?

the kick i'd imagine he moved all wiring, ad then cut out hte first layer of metal, so it becomes a wide open space all the way to the outta skin, dampened and sealed it really well, and then either just fiberglassed a top ring into place, or made a small enclsoure to fit hte spot, and then built hte kicks covering over it...

either way, gotta be a good 20 hours of work on the kicks alone...amazing result though

Follow the link I posted...He put two 8w7 in the stock location one on each side and ported them through the storage compartments in the back.

that's bonkers....the sub box reminds me of a little city, lol

the kicks look incredible.

they must have been desperate for air space on the box, notice the detail. edit...now I notice it's ported.

To far off axis and not a fan of how the fiberglass goes OVER the speaker. If you are looking for stealth that is nice but I probally wouldnt like the sound of it.

here is what the installer said....very quotable

"The plexi is actually etched with blasting sand and lit up with LED's...carefully and painstakingly placed. Perfect??? Nothing's perfect...the more you chase it...the farther away it gets."

As far as the kicks go, it reminds of older BMW stock front speaker locations, like early 90's 3-series

i asked the installer how the box fit in there...basically, its simple, a LOT of trial and error, and alot of elbow crease, try and try again
