Default Need help removing center console

I'm trying to remove center console for my 06.
I removed four screws so all I have to do is pull out from the top.
But no matter how hard I pull the top, it won't come off.
Any idea?

if it's the same as '03-'05, you have to pull fairly hard on the top (above the 3 gauges)...it feels like you're pulling harder than you are b/c you can only fit your finger tips...but it doesn come out eventually.

(for '03-'05, there's 2 screws near the bottom, 2 tiny scews w/in the cubby that then will allow access to 2 more screws behind the cubby/radio)

Okay, i got the top pulled out. I thought I broke something when it popped out. Thanks
Now, the bottom (at the headunit level) won't come off. Should I just give everything I got?

the bottom on my '05 came out really easily...double check that you got the correct bolts (there's 4 bolts total down there on my '05...2 that hold the center consol, and 2 that hold the air distibution box)

There are (2) brackets that supports the OEM head unit that needs to be unscrewed. A total of 6 screws need to be removed.
Two are behind pop-out clips on front edge of cubby, two are for the HU support brakets and two lower ones which the temp control assembly covers. If you install a Metra kit, only 4 screws are reused since the HU brackets are not needed.

Thanks 240Z I just saw those.
How come 06 service manual doesn't show those two bolts by the tem control assembly (white plastic box)?

just to be sure, this is how i remove the headunit when i do 06s...just make it a lot easier:

1. remove shift ****, pop out shifter trim, disconnect plugs
2. looking down there, you see four screws, two holds the ac controoler, two the bottom of the headunit bracket, i take all of them out, and then pull out hte ac controller and unplug it, this makes taking the HU out a lot easier
3. two screws at the bottom corners where hte shifter trim attached, take those out
4. open the cubby, first pop out the front rubbber trim piece, just carryful pry up and pull it out

5. two plastic covers are reveald, put a finger on top and slide them directly back and towards you to remove them, this reveals a screw behind each
6. remove those two screws
7. pull on top of hte center console to release the latch, reach there and disconnect the plug on the driver side, the wire may be caught on something, just wiggle it loose
8. pop the entire thing towards you, lift the top to get hte bottom brackets out of the way, get it far out enough so you can turn the entire thing side ways
9. op out he connectors ont he back of the HU, and remove the HU

In the service manual, only different seems to be at the cubby hole or nav in your case. There should be a plastic strip cover below the screen of the nav. Just ply it out and go from there.
But, double check the service manual just in case.
