Hi guys,

Well i've finished ordering all of my electronics and install gear except for the dash kit. I can't find good color pics of either of these dash kits (Metra and Scosche). The Scosche says they use factory colors and textures and the Metra doesn't mention color or texture. To be honset, from the pics I've seen, the Scosche looks nicer, but I know most of you all have used the Metra. I also hear the '06 Metra is of a better quality than the 03-05 kit, but does the color/texture match the 2003 center stack color/texture?

Any input on your dash kit experience is greatly appreciated. Pics are also encouraged.

BTW, I was going to go double-DIN (Alpine IVA-W200) all along, but I got an unbeatable closeout deal on an Eclipse CD5000, so I bought it ($225 from an authorized dealer locally).

 

I bought both the Metra and the American International and send the AI back as I judged it to be about 50% as strong as the Metra kit. The thing matches my '05 interior well enough that I've never noticed it but it is a different texture than the dash.

Your 05 dash color is darker than the 03, right? hmmmmm

 

Yes, so the '03 cubby is a bit lighter than the rest of the dash but not so much as to be out of place. It's also a slightly different fit than the '05 dash but again ... nobody stops and stares. Not worth of a show car though.
