Default Factory Alarm, fasle alerts?

I’ve had my Z for over one year and herd the factory alarm for the first time @ 3:00AM today. The Z was parked in my driveway with a car cover and about 3 inches if snow and ice it. The alarm went off, looked around , nothing wrong, and than it went off again 40 minutes later. Do we have any issues of false alerts? The weird thing is that my aftermarket pager alarms was not set-off.

Only hing I can think of is a faulty door or hood switch. Depending on your year, I think the 03 to 05's had hood switches that have had some issues. Is your aftermarked alarm wired into the hood switch? If not, that would set off the factory and not the aftermarket one...

I ran into the same thing on '03 twice since ive had it. Both times were during the day and i thought "i must have hit the button" to find out the keys were across the room. Still not sure what it is, not that im too worried about it though.
