Just thought I would pass this on: Had my 04 Touring Roadster in the Dealer this week to replace the Bose head unit for the third time.
Actually I had called the Dealer three weeks ago to tell them that I wanted them to order me another refurbished unit because mine was doing the usual CD skipping again.

Took the car in this week and waited for them to make the switch out. No Sweat! About an hour later I was driving away and I quickly noticed that they installed a Brand New Head Unit. Not a refurbished one!

Everything looks the same except this new unit is oviously been updated by Bose. The ***** are different and the input door area has an actual door that opens before you can put Cd's in.

So, I take it that Nissan has given up FINALLY on trying to make these ridiculous "switch outs" that have never solved the problem.

Maybe they have finally fixed the HU for good???? We shall see!
