I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I'd like to ask if any one has figured out how to conceal the D3, since it is highly prone to car audio theft without the detachable faceplate? =/

other than parking in safer areas, i often throw a t-shirt/sweatshirt over there by my console to try and cover it a little. sometimes making it look like a big mess ( and covering it) i always wonder how car theifs can steal these, when it was a b!tch to install/uninstall. they would have to be pretty z saavy.
as for covers, etc. no idea...

Your right on here. The fact is, not many people steal HUs any more due to the complexity of the dash assembly nowdays. Foreign cars have always made it harder for people to steal radios--way better than domestic--In my tahoe the ENTIRE dash just simply popped off--no problem. thats why with foreign you have to take apart most of the dash (with hidden screws and all that) honestly, i worried about this also when i got my D3 but i soon realized, in the dark, it would take a theif with the right tools at least 45 min from start of breakin to do this--and only if he knew the Z well--like a car audio installer. Screw it man--its a risk youve gotto take.
