Need help choosing component speakers
I have a 2007 Black 350z 6mt base model. The BOSE sucks because I had a G35 before so I opted to get a base model 350z instead because it's lighter and I plan on twin turboing it in the future. I have a couple questions
1. Whats the difference between coaxial and component? Which is better?
2. Which components should I get. I want a clean sound good highs and mids preferably DLS. Would I need an amp to power it? Are the fronts 6x9?
3. I'm almost planning on getting 2 10 inch Image Dynamic subwoofers and looking for one multi-channel amp to power it all. Again preferably DLS but I need something that runs cool and doesn't overheat because it gets really hot here in Lousiana. I had a Pheonix Gold amp which overheated after 30 minutes of driving and I didn't even drive the woofers all the way.

Fronts are 6 1/2" on my base, pretty certain they are the same for your Bose system. Zs come with stock component speakers in the front...which means the woofer and the tweeter are mounted seperately. They usually include a seperate crossover too to keep the highs out of the woofer and the lows out of the tweeter. Coaxials incorporate the tweeter into the same housing as the woofer, and have subpar sound quality and imaging when compared to components. I have some ARC Audio Components in the front with 75w going to them, and they sound great. I highly recommend them. Don't know if you can use the bose amps to power aftermarket components, but if not you'd need to get an amplifier as well.

After a lot of research and a couple expert reccomendations I went with the Dynaudio 360 speaker components and a DLS dual monoblock amp.
The sound is far better than my MB Quart set up, and the installer has just become a Dynaudio dealer due to his impression with the speakers.

I have the base model Z with no Bose so I guess I'll need an aftermarket amp. I looked up on ebay for the Dynadio 360 components and they were $798 while the DLS Nobelium components was $525. I couldn't find the ARC components. Price isn't an issue for me I just want kick *** sound because music is my life. As I stated before I plan on adding sub-woofers pretty soon so I'll need a multi-channel amp to drive that system. Which DLS amp do you guys recommend? I hear Zapco and Elemental amps was good and doesn't run hot. Help a fellow out 16psibrick =)
